Ans: Software testing is important because;
- By software testing the application satisfies customers needs and
expectations. - To find the defects so that they can be resolved by development team.
- Properly tested software ensure cost effectiveness, reliability, security
and high performance which saves the time. - Minimizing the risks at later stage. It helps to secure the software also
prevent the bugs so that they can minimize losses to competitors and
try to stop the data leaks and gaps. - When a software development project is under process, so we need to
know that errors may appear in any phase of life cycle, few of them
are known to be undiscovered that’s why the importance of software
testing cannot be ignored. - Determining the performance of the software like if we find software
or application that has poor or bad performance it brings our
reputation down in the market or for the business, user are not going
to trust any people. There are chances that the reputation of our

delivered to customer with few bugs in it. User of bank will suffer some problem due to bugs in application so he may quit using this bank can go for some legal actions. To prevent these kind of scenarios testing is very important. - It gives smooth development of software and application.
- Maximize the profits for the company like if tester doing the good testing so it should achieve higher success for maximum profits also enhance the company image in competition with others.
- By software testing it make the software adaptable to different environments. This days we have different operating systems, browsers, mobile devices so software should be able to perform in all environments.
